RapidWeaver blog plugin

I’ve seen the blog page improve by leaps and bounds in my years of developing for RapidWeaver. It’s probably been one of the most actively developed page styles in the RapidWeaver arsenal.

From tagging, to categorizing, archiving and permalinks, RapidWeaver covers many of the basic needs of any would be blogger. And it’s all within the drag-n-drop comfort of our favorite web authoring app.

All of these posts are fake. Please do not take any of them as holding any more weight the kb they occupy on disk.

We can safely say that we wouldn't be as well known as we are if it weren't for blogging technology. It's a free platform to shout our latest news from. Before the days being able to afford professional press releases, our blog was our only means of staying connected to and reaching out to our global audience.

Today, our blog is still as vital as ever, delivering critical information, releases and updates to our readers around the globe.

What I like

Quicksilver is for me

Anyone who reads my blog, nutMac.com knows by know how much of a fan I am of Quicksilver, the brilliant, all powerful app that acts more as my brain’s subconscious than it does a a piece of software.

I employ quicksilver to do all sorts of things for me, from rescaling images and uploading them to flickr, to running AppleScripts, to finding anything on my system, to launching and relaunching app of every variety... I use quicksilver for 90% of the work I do.

Mighty Mouse has served me well

I can admit it; I am a big fan of the mighty mouse. It did take a bit to get used to and at first I wasn’t sure that I would get used to it, but two years later (and two mice later) I am holding fast to the Mighty wonder. I have each button programmed to suite my workflow, and have the sensitivity and speed cranked via SteerMouse. I can get from one corner of my 23” screen to other by moving my hand only two inches.

My only real nag with the Mighty Mouse is that the trackball takes now time at all before it gets gummed up and cleaning it with alcohol only lasts so long.

My favorite theme

Hands down, my all time favorite theme has to be viEw. It’s not an overly popular theme, but it’s a steady performer worth keeping in rotation. For me, though, there is just something I love about it. And it’s themes like those that make me realize that some themes just need to be right for me, not everybody. That is probably the single biggest reason I have started doing Designer themes to compliment out library of Pro themes.

Doing exactly what I want and not worrying about a themes flexibility or versatility is somewhat liberating. Making Designer themes for me must be somewhat akin the themes that come installed in RapidWeaver; nice looking with just a few features. Back to the basics of web design, not theme programming.

Snippets, how I love thee?

If you haven’t heard me say it before, I’ll say it again; I love snippets. It is by far the best feature ever added to RapidWeaver in my three years of working with the wonder app. Some of the snippets that I am responsible for publicly distributing are:
But that’s not all that I have in my aresenal of snippet awesomeness. These are just the ones I’ve had time to release. More will come eventually.
