Thar be pirates!

Isn't it funny how the general public equates "file sharing" to piracy. This simply isn't true. If you consider what the major ISP's have been practicing with their bandwidth shaping and packet dropping, you are paying a lot of money for bandwidth that has some serious restrictions on it.

The truth is, file sharing, torrents and other PTP networks is the only way that many organizations can reasonable expect to have their work distributed. Take, for instance, CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) who started distribution of their own programming on the internet via bit torrent. CBC is publicly funded and I have every right to access those programs, yet Rogers chooses to drop those packets.

Rogers, I hope the CRTC sues the pants off you.

Back to the good stuff

This is a collection of modified versions of the default Aqua Blue Desktop that originally shipped with Tiger. This is still my favorite desktop background.
The original Aqua Blue that shipped with Tiger.
A slight variation of the original. It's actually more purple than blue.
A bit darker than the original. Nice and rich.
You like Ubuntu? This desktop has that same brown, earthy feel.
This is a very burnt amber feel.
A basic green version.
This is an acid green version that has a bit of backlight to it. Very nice.
A nice kelly green tone for this version.
Another acid green but with deeper lowlights.
From extreme highlight to deep, deep lowlight. Intense.
Mmm... can you say Creamsicle?
A pleasing, airy and soothing orange.
Like licking flames, this orange version has fiery yellows and deep oranges.
Yup, it's POPPING pink!
A subtle, calming pink.
A nice, rich purple, closer to the blue end of the spectrum.
A purple with vibrant highs and nearly black lows.
A soothing, nuetral purple desktop.
Hot purple, covering the highs and lows quite well.
Similar to the first purple desktop, but with deeper lowlights.
A deep, even red.
A scortching red, nearly turning orange.
